- Been Singing from about the age of 2 just as I learned to talk. My family seem to sing. I thought it was something everyone did like breathing.
I wanted to play guitar from the time I saw my first one. so I got one on my 13th birthday and was in a band in about 6 months. We did school gigs. At 16 I was found by a Personal manager who started working on a record deal for me. I was offered to sign with Motown at 16 and turned them down because I thought I would be a tax deduction because I was white. I was the second white artist to be offered a deal with motown.
Looking back I should have taken it. But what do youknow when your 16 and people are throwing things like record deals at you.
